Then this may be your year as CEA is sponsoring the seventh annual Get Prepared, California! Auction that runs through April 30th.
One of the influences of this joint effort between CEA and the American Red Cross was a 2009 study by the UCLA School of Public Health and Survey Research Center reporting that “relatively few (California) households have acted to mitigate losses and reduce injuries” resulting from earthquakes.
Combining the American Red Cross' disaster preparedness know-how with CEA's residential earthquake insurance and seismic retrofitting expertise, you can use the auction to introduce your policyholders to just how simple getting earthquake prepared can be.
Pitch in and Help Californians Get Earthquake Prepared
Since 2012, more than $1,060,000 in proceeds have been raised for the American Red Cross to use in the event of a natural disaster. That’s enough money to distribute 200,000 blankets or 100,000 hot meals or provide 400,000 “comfort kits” full of toiletries and personal items.
Money raised from the auction helps support 32 chapters of the American Red Cross in communities throughout California.
This year’s auction is being coordinated by iHeartMedia and promoted by 58 iHeartMedia radio stations in California through their on-air, digital, and social media platforms.
Chances are, your policyholders will hear about the auction and the dozens of one-of-a-kind concert, travel, sports, and entertainment prize packages up for bidding.
